Read on the Trading Floor - 21 May 2024
Today’s focus… what inputs would you recommend?
Another quiet session. The crypto bros must be laughing at Defi. With ETH +30% on the week as EURUSD remains moribund. Even USDJPY is stuck chopping around in narrow ranges with the mkt unwilling to take on the risk of more MOF dollar supply without the support of a US10s sell off (for now remains stuck sub 4.50%). Yesterday's Read on The Trading Floor was well received and it felt like an opportune time to focus on 5 other Substacks that we cite regularly here at HarksterHQ.
Ecoinometrics
Fidenza Macro
The BondBeat
Daily Chartbook
Blind Squirrel Macro
Energy in the crypto space has reignited, aided by the Nasdaq's outperformance, the Fed "on hold or cutting", EM devaluations led by ARS/TRY, the new AI infused world and of course the ETF story. Ecoinometrics navigates brilliantly both the world of traditional macroeconomics and the landscape of digital assets. This newsletter mirrors the essence of Harkster, with a focus on extracting the signal from the noise, separating what matters from what doesn't and to understand what really drives the mkt.

We can't say enough about how much we enjoy The Monday Morning Notes from The Blind Squirrel. Whether it's the diligent and honest review of the Acorn portfolio, the array of topics/themes from Australia, EV sector, trend following systems, commodities, Ag's, Regulatory Arb, Private Equity Holdings, IPO's, Uranium etc etc or simply just the exemplary graphics. This content is a joy to read, provides a giggle or two and most importantly is extremely informative.
