Japanese Core CPI 2.9% vs exp 3.0% (previous 2.8%), inflation rate ex-food and energy 4% YoY vs previous 4.2%. USDJPY 35bps lower from 149.70 close to London open price around 149.30.
Little to no movement elsewhere in FX... EUR 1.0905, GBP 1.2540, AUD 0.6565 and CNH 7.1565. There is also an early market close in the US, so one would expect another quiet session ahead.
Start of the Israel-Hamas 4-day truce took affect at 05:00 GMT...
OPEC+ negotiations continue, with a compromise expected to be found on African quotas by the revised Nov 30th meeting date.
