To all our readers,
After 300 editions of The Morning Hark, there are now over 15,000 of you starting each day with our newsletters.
We began with a clear focus to deliver a morning briefing (that you actually want to read) with an almost metronomic consistency.
For us at HarksterHQ, a key discipline for following financial markets is a consistent routine, and I'm sure this will resonate with many of you.
Make sure you’re nailing the essential tasks each morning . . . performing the necessary actions that form the bedrock of each day . . . you don’t want to be asking yourself, “What have I missed?”.
This became ingrained in us from our years working on the execution desk of a global macro fund, delivering real-time commentary, analysis, and trade ideas to portfolio managers.
It has become our passion to deliver the same service to you with such consistency that our newsletters become a natural staple of your daily routine.
We are now your desk, delivering succinct overnight updates and analysis of macro themes throughout the day.
We monitor markets and the channels on our research platform to identify the key narratives and drivers and deliver them to you through the lens of decades of market experience.
On top of that, we flag recommendations to the highest quality content, which offers you deeper dives into each topic.
Our newsletters are for anyone interested in a disciplined approach to following markets. You might be an investment professional looking for regular updates on key macro drivers, a trader who appreciates extra eyes on markets or someone outside the finance industry requiring a comprehensive daily briefing.
Ultimately, if you’re interested in leveraging our instinctive daily habits from years spent on trading desks to help you lay solid foundations each morning and ensure nothing slips by, then Harkster’s newsletters are for you!
What's next + why now?
Since day one, our core principles across our newsletters and research platform have remained unchanged:
How have markets moved overnight?
What are the macro themes at play in markets today?
Where can I find quality content for deeper dives on these themes?
Over the past few months, we have expanded our offering in line with these principles by introducing additional newsletters and optimising our content for our broadening audience.
Our original newsletter is the morning cornerstone of our HarksterPRO suite of newsletters (see below) designed for full-time traders and investment professionals whilst also serving casual investors looking to keep in touch with markets through a single daily update.
Its “non-biased, just the facts type approach with some wit and lots of reference” is designed to be an easy-to-digest morning briefing that offers a refreshing read compared to the more technical financial literature available.
Includes Read on the Trading Floor + Harkster Previews + Saturday Hark Back
The HarksterPRO suite of newsletters was introduced for our institutional audience. They offer more comprehensive intraday coverage with multiple publications throughout the day and a more technical approach to commentary and analysis.
The PRO newsletters are designed to be used alongside our research platform to give you an inside look at how we discover and follow the current market narratives at Harkster HQ and allow you to explore additional narratives that matter to you.
We will be separating The Morning Hark from the HarksterPRO suite of newsletters to allow those interested in a single daily market update to subscribe to The Morning Hark without any additional noise.
The Morning Hark will continue to be published through this newsletter until November 30th. From December 1st, new editions will be available via the new, separate publication.
If your email preferences are set to receive The Morning Hark, you will be transferred to the new publication on December 1st.
Additionally, starting December 1st, both The Morning Hark and HarksterPRO newsletters will add a paywall to support the efforts involved in their publication.
We have deliberately taken our time before introducing the paywall to test and tweak our offering to the point where we feel the price matches the value.
We have built these products together, and we want to bring our existing readers in on an introductory price as a token of appreciation for your feedback and contribution to shaping these newsletters over the recent months.
